About Continuing Competence

Continuing Competence is a private, local-first tracker for learning activities, licenses and certifications, goals, learning plans, reflections, supporting documents, and reports.

Your information is stored in this browser on this device. The app owner does not receive or store your records unless you choose to export and send a file.

Quick start

Click the owner name under the app logo to add your name.
Add your licenses, registrations, certifications, or associations.
Create goals and learning plans for the renewal cycle.
Add completed or scheduled learning activities as you go.
Attach certificates, handouts, receipts, or other supporting documents when useful.
Export a backup regularly from the Data screen.

Privacy basics

Records stay in your browser unless you export them.
Use backups before clearing browser data or changing devices.
Avoid entering client-identifying information.
Use professional notes suitable for audit or submission.

Common tasks

Add or schedule learning

Use Add activity. Choose Completed for finished learning or Scheduled for future learning. Scheduled items appear on the dashboard under Upcoming learning.

Connect learning to more than one license

In the activity form, select every license or certification the learning applies to.

Create a learning plan

Open Goals & Learning Plans. Reflect on learning needs, identify the goal, make a plan, and add reflections or amendments through the year.

Export a report

Filter activities first, then open Data. Select any goals and learning plans to include, then choose PDF-ready, HTML, CSV, JSON, or email-prepared report.

FAQ

Is my data online?

No. In this version, data is stored locally in your browser. Hosting the app online only serves the app files.

What happens if I clear browser data?

Your records may be deleted. Export a full JSON backup regularly and keep it somewhere safe.

Can I use this on another computer?

Yes. Export a full JSON backup from the first browser, then import it on the other computer.

Does the email option send my records automatically?

No. It prepares a report file or draft. You still choose whether to attach and send it.
